EU billions short on nuclear decommissioning bill

EU billions short on nuclear decommissioning bill

Among the 16 EU member states still operating nuclear plants, only Britain has sufficient dedicated assets to cover the expected costs of nuclear decommissioning. With France (€54billion) and Germany (€7.7billion) both short of the needed funds, nuclear utilities across Europe are looking for cost saving decommissioning techniques.
That’s why record attendance is expected at NDC2016 (31st May – 1st June, Manchester), Europe’s largest pan-European event devoted to nuclear decommissioning and waste management.
Check out why 300+ will attend NDC2016 here: http://1.nuclearenergyinsider.com/LP=7677
