Innovation in the test for the measurement of flow induced vibration of CAP1400 reactor component

Innovation in the test for the measurement of flow induced vibration of CAP1400 reactor component

Chief Executive Officer at Dynatom International GmbH
The Nuclear Power Institute of China (NPIC) based in Chengdu has successfully developed the testing device for the measurement of flow-induced vibration of CAP1400 reactor component with the Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute (SNERDI)
A Group of experts from the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center (NSC) of the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP), SNERDI and NPIC assisted on May 8 to the presentation of the reactor components for flow-induced vibration simulation test device quality assurance system, the testing process documents, the measuring instruments, the test records, and 42 other small content items and finished by on-site inspection of the test device.
The test uses a scale model simulation method to obtain water flow induced vibration excitation force and response in the CAP1400 reactor components.
