SENATORS PUSH NRC ON DRY CASK LICENSING: Bipartisanship isn’t dead — at least not when it comes to pushing the NRC to speed up its licensing process for dry cask storage for nuclear waste at reactor sites. The industry has complained that requests for design changes to can take two years or more to get through the regulator, according to the letter, signed by Sens.
