Boehner: GOP ready to revive Yucca Posted by Steve Tetreault

Boehner: Yucca project will get support from GOP-led Congress
A Republican-controlled House of Representatives would back the revival of the Yucca Mountain nuclear-waste repository in Nevada, said House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. In an interview, the lawmaker said tons of waste remains stored at the country's nuclear facilities because the Yucca project can't move forward. "We've invested tens of billions of dollars in a storage facility that's as safe as anything we're going to find," he said.
