Nuclear Installed Capacity of 8.64 Million Kw Will be Newly-added in 2014

According to the work arrangement from National Energy Administration, a total of 8.64 million Kw of nuclear installed capacity will be added in 2014, which increased 264% compared with the practical installed capacity of 2.21 Kw in 2013.
From the view of the current construction of the existing nuclear power units, Yangjiang Unit 2, Hongyanhe Unit 2 & 3, Ningde Unit 2, Fangjiashan Unit 1 and Fuqing Unit 1 are all expected to be formally put into commercial operation this year.
According to the data from China Nuclear Power Association, China’s nuclear power generating capacity and on-grid capacity have been continuing to raise in 2013, with cumulative power output of 110.71 billion Kwh, an increase of 12.38% compared with 2012.
